We have had a couple of calls where this is happening, and we find the reason is the computer has barely enough RAM to run Vista etc. I may have already talked to you about his - but in case I have not....,

Running on Windows XP we suggest a minimum of 512 MG Ram
        BUT
VISTA has stated they need a minimum of 1 gig of Ram

If you are upgrading an existing computer, you probably only have 512.

I would suspect that due to the increased Vista Overhead, you are at the threshold of having enough "free" ram to load our "database grids". These grids require resources, and if they are not available, the screens don't even show up.

More RAM will solve the problem, (try to install a total of at least 2GB
        or
Usually shutting down programs that are running in the background will also solve the issue. But only temporarily. If you reboot, then those same programs you just shut down will be "run on startup", therefore consuming the Ram (again). You can use MSCONFIG to select which start up (or not).

I'm not familiar with Vista enough, but you can usually click on
START > MY COMPUTER > (Then choose) VIEW SYSTEM INFORMATION
On the "General tab" will be listed the amount of installed RAM

Best regards

Jim

I called you about having trouble with getting you software to install on Vista.  I've finally got it to install and I can select the radio and the com port, but can't program it.  When I select program radio the software just goes away.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled twice and that did not fix my problem.  I've also traid restarting a few times but I can't figure out what is going on.  I've been at this for about 3 hours and still can't get it figured out.  I've also searched your website and can't find anything else on it.  A quick response would be much appreciated.  Thank you.
