Ok, then "your" best bet would be to get a USB to Serial Adaptor.

You can find a number of them at this online vendor (Tiger Direct)

Search for the two words "USB serial"

Jim

I already have both serial cables and somewhere I have a USB/serial adapter. I also have Uniden scanners that use serial cables.

Hi

If you only need this for your RADIO SHACK scanner, I would suggest using
the 20-047 all-in-one cable. (lots cheaper than getting TWO cables) Make
SURE you use the mono adaptor supplied in the package, AND be certain to
install the driver prior to plugging it in for the first time,

Best regards

Jim
