Hi

If you get an error when trying to save a personal database file to "My Documents" in Scancat-Lite-Plus, most likely the "administrator privileges" set in Vista are preventing you from saving the file to "My Documents". It's a security issue/setting that you have to resolve on "your" computer. If you don't know how, I'd suggest getting someone familiar with Vista to help you set it up. Vista if very restrictive on "file folder" access and privileges.

The simplest way of getting around this is.... save it inside the Scancat-Lite-Plus folder - NOT in My Documents

Here is how to do that. I've tried to give you screen shots that show how to navigate inside the SAVE FILE function of Scancat.

To save a file
AT TOP MENU OF THE DATABASE AREA
Choose FILE >  SAVE FILE > Save Personal File

DOUBLE CLICK ON MY COMPUTER AND OPEN THE C: DRIVE

        Navigate to this folder
            c:\Program Files\Scancat-Lite-Plus\RSD_DatabaseFiles

Emacs!

Open the folder "RSD_DatabaseFiles

And enter a file name such as the PRO2O96ORIGINAL.RSD

Windows should let you save it. If not... you will have to get your local computer Guru to show you how.

Best regards
