Hi

Here is the step by step info for how to use RadioReference using Scancat.

These instructions MIRROR the way we show how to do this in our Video Tutorial. I Strongly recommend you look SEVERAL TIMES at Video tutorial #7, as all of the instructions in that video work identically-meaning "the video instructions work for ALL VERSIONS of our software".

---------------------- radio reference instructions ------------------
TUTORIALS ARE LOCATED AT:
        www.scancat.com/youtube

FIRST WATCH THE VIDEO #7 AND IT SHOWS YOU HOW TO GO TO RADIO REFERENCE
... (YOU DO NOT GO TO "RR" USING YOUR BROWSER)
YOU USE THE FREQ SEARCHES IN SCANCAT.

Once you get to the USA/State Map, click on New York
        (Then) on Suffolk County
(Then) scroll all the way down until you see
"All Trunked Radio Systems in Suffolk County "
                  (This is an important step)
(Then) Pick a system (such as Suffolk County (Mot Type II)
(Then) Follow the steps as outlined in the Video

Once the frequencies are in the "Blue converter screen"
= FIRST Press the Button labeled "Trunked Freq"
= THEN right after that press the button for "Talk Group ID's"

ALL the frequencies and talk group will be placed into the WHITE, Upper Database, (Same ones I sent you as a file)

I see a number of systems in Suffolk County,
Most are LTR, or MOT Type II
And nothing is mentioned about "Digital", (AP25 etc)

I did this INSIDE SCL, and as far a "I" can tell it extracts the Frequencies AND TGIDs like it always has.

Best regards

Jim

>> Dear MR, Springer,
>>       Thanks for you'r response  & your'r help. The UNIDEN video helped & cleared up some mistakes I was making. But now I'm not getting any of the police trunked systems & the video for radio reference is out dated & the website format has changed since the video was made or like the video suggests my windows level is windows 7?
