Hi

To set the BAUD rate, use
MENU  >  SETTINGS > SET SERIAL PORT > SET BAUDRATE
                        THEN "FRONT OR REAR"

I would suggest 115200 or 57600

USE AUTOCONFIGURE to "find" the radio and if found it will set up all the port setting FOR you.

If you continue to get "clone errors", this is because something is interrupting the data flow through the data port. Try disabling Norton/MacAfee or any program that monitors your I/O - this will usually fix that.

When we hear from customers with this problem, they eventually write us to say that they found something wrong with their USB adaptors, and once replaced, it worked ok.

FYI - We normally use the rear DB-9 socket - and if you do - you must also use a NULL MODEM adaptor.

On CLONING, the BAUD rate is automatically "FIXED" - so it doesn't matter what you have it set at for regular Data "programming".

Thanks Jim.

I downloaded it and installed it. Tried a couple of times to get a clone of the new radio, once at the rate Scancat said, and once at the rate the book says is the default. Clone Error each time. Now I'm at work. I guess I'll see what the radio is really set to later.
