Hi

I see you purchased our software  (Scancat-Lite-Plus), But you did not purchase any frequency database. IF you would like to purchase a frequency database, take a look at this link (It would cost $19.95 since you have SCL)

        www.scancat.com/mrscanner

I would suggest FIRST to use the software to "Read Entire radio". which is one of the two options on our database menu "Load/Read Radio". This will create a database in our software. SAVE that as a Personal Database file.

-  If you know the frequencies you want to add, find an "empty bank", and type them in.

-  If you do NOT know the frequencies, I can send you a file for "some of them", but I'd need to know the STATE and COUNTY. Send me that information and I can email you a link to get a file such as used by Radio Shack stores.

You can use this file in conjunction with the file from your radio, and using cut and paste, put the ones from the "2nd database file", into the one that is from your radio. Once all is edited/changed... then you reload that new database to your radio. We have an extensive FAQ/Help section on our website
        www.scancat.com/onlinehelp

And, Look at this link on the FAQ area of our website

http://scancat.com/OnLineHelp/FAQ-AssortedSubjects/CUT%20AND%20PASTE%20WITHIN%20SCANCAT-LITE.htm

It details how to use cut/copy/paste inside our "grids" and move things around where you want them.

If you let me know your STATE and COUNTY I will send you an email link for that file.

Best regards

Jim

Hi Jim,
Didn't expect to find this e-mail this evening - but sure do appreciate
it!  Jim, I had an old scanner, and now changed over to digital -- appears
very different -- I have a Pro 96 - the man at the store entered frequencies
- into 0, 1, 2, 3, Banks --  Here is my question - the download provided -
was for Westmoreland County (PA) -- I live in Armstrong County (PA)  -- thus
I get Westmoreland - but can I manually enter Armstrong County Frequencies -
in say 5, 6, (police, fire) and since entered manually, then save everything
back to this computer - also, I have the scanner for the purpose of Railfan
- I have several Railroad Frequencies I want to manually enter -- as I don't
think RR is digital, yet.  Once the frequencies are entered, say I download
to update the scanner - will the manually entered frequencies remain ?  or
Lost?   I just don't know a lot about scanners.
Jim, thanks for your e mail -
Bill Tomicek

sometime this evening.

I've sent the download link to you on an email

Thanks for your business
