A Powerful New Search Feature to SCANCAT-Lite-PLUS Software
(Requires MR Scanner FCC (frequency) CD ROMs
Computer Aided Technologies, The Recognized Leader in Scanner Radio Computer Software since 1989 is Shipping today an updated version of it's ScanCat Lite PLUS software which includes a Powerful New Search feature. Now you can search Mr. Scanner CD's directly from within Scancat-Lite-Plus. Create highly customized, Local Area and Radio Service specific Searches and then load them directly into your radio. All without having to "Export" from the CD.
You can Search within a State for Radio Service frequencies in a single City or Town, or Combinations of Cities/towns. Now, you can create frequency groupings by Towns and Services according to Radio Service Type(s) or Mutual-Aid relationships as an example.
From the ScanCat Lite Plus software screen, Simply Start the Search by:
Pressing F5
Pick your STATE file from the CD.
Then
You have a number of ways of searching
a. Keyword searches
b. By Service Codes
and
c. Narrow the ''Fields" to be searched
Click OK and the search begins.
In Seconds, you have the Result of this Search feature. The found frequencies appear in an Upper Grid Display.
At this point, you can select ALL, One, or combinations with just a Click of your Mouse for storing in your radio.

You can APPEND To the Search Results ....... Additional Towns/Services ; BEFORE saving them to your radio.
SIMPLY Press your F5 Key and the APPEND Search Option Appears.
This way, you can Further Customize your Searches by APPENDING additional Area, Towns/Counties/Cities --- AS Well As by Types of Service within Each Area such as Fire, Police, etc. The result will be a Customized Scanning Selection which might include adjacent Towns and Emergency Services ONLY. The Options here are virtually Unlimited !
The part about how to copy the ones in the top to the bottom is covered in the PDF manual on your disk. It can also be read from within the HELP file.
5. Click anywhere on the "line" where a frequency record is. You will see that line reverse highlighted. The highlight indicates that record in the source file is "selected". You will also see a yellow floating tag. It indicates the number of records selected and how many there are in the top database.
6. Each time you click on a record it is toggled back and forth between selected and NotSelected. So once you have several picked
a. Click on the Bottom Database at the location where you
want to start the "paste" operation

b. Click on the TOP MENU "Edit" and then pick
"Paste Highlighted Frequencies"
c. Then once "pasted" it will look like this.

Whatever bank is Active is the bank where the frequencies are pasted.
Notice the cursor has moved to #5 and that sets it up for the NEXT paste, and so on until you have them all transferred to the chosen bank(s)
